Manchester Day at the 2025 World Expo in Osaka, Japan

In June Dr Maddison Coke and Dr Mason Adshead were invited by the Greater Manchester Japan Steering Group to take part in Manchester Day at the UK Pavilion during the 2025 World Expo in Osaka, Japan. The event provided a great opportunity to highlight the research and innovation of materials and technologies being developed in Greater Manchester.

During the event, many discussions were had regarding the novel material engineering work ongoing at the University of Manchester, from graphene to advanced materials engineering using the P-NAME tool. This lead to discussions on the advanced materials research being facilitated across the UK by the NAME programme grant, and the technological readiness of some of the research that is being undertaken as part of NAME.
