EPSRC Programme Grant Nanoscale Advanced Materials Engineering (NAME) Ends
As of July 2026 the EPSRC Programme Grant Nanoscale Advanced Materials Engineering (NAME) has ended.
NAME delivered an ambitious programme of research encompassing materials development and functionalisation, technique development and validation, characterisation, and engineering to provide a versatile and scalable breakthrough in NAME methodology for the development of future technologies. Many of the highlights of our work can be found on this website.
We thank every member, past and present, of the NAME network for all of their contributions over the past 5 years. We also thank our industrial partners who supported NAME and our Advisory Board members who worked closely with us over the five years of the Programme.
Finally, a thank you to every individual who engaged with us at events all over the country. From visits to local schools to the Royal Society Summer Exhibition, we have spoken to hundreds of thousands of you at events of all sizes and we hope you enjoyed speaking with us and trying our science demonstrations as much as we enjoyed engaging with you.
We hope that you remain interested in our work and will continue to follow us as we start a new EPSRC Programme Grant Materials Engineering for Advanced Devices (MEAD) in September 2026.
