International Year of Quantum Science and Technology

To mark the International Year of Quantum Science and Technology, UNSECO invited Quantum based Institutes from around the world a chance to come and celebrate the launch at their headquarters in Paris. As part of NAME and the Centre for Quantum Science and Engineering University of Manchester, Dr Maddison Coke, travelled to the event held over two days, 4th – 5th February 2025. Over the two days, there were sessions by Nobel laureates and esteemed scientific panels on the various challenges faced both in the lab and further afield. From Policy and Innovation to Public Engagement and Education, there were many take home messages from the 2 days of networking and talking of collaboration amongst the 1000 attendees.
