NAME members attend the Materials for Quantum Network Plenary
On the 8th and 9th January 2026, the Materials for Quantum Network (M4QN) held the UK Materials for Quantum Plenary in Manchester. The event brought together over 100 representatives in materials and quantum from across the UK landscape in academia, government organisations and industry to explore the critical materials challenges underpinning the UK’s quantum technology ambitions.
The focus of the event was to look at the future direction of quantum materials research in the UK and there were talks from all of the UK Quantum hubs, industry representatives, the National Physical Laboratory and a keynote talk by Juan Eng Johnson Goh from A*Star who discussed the current landscape in Singapore.
The two days featured engaging discussions and valuable networking opportunities for the NAME members in attendance.
